Access Products
Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and our Access Products enable customers to connect to Distribution Networks earlier, avoiding delays when connecting to congested parts of our Network.
We offer a range of Access Products to suit customers connection needs by offering a temporary variation to their full capacity requirements. This could be until reinforcement is completed, there is a curtailment end date or for an indefinite period.
We already have 4 types of Access Products available such as ANM however, we are working on developing processes to quickly onboard any new Access Products as our demand increases and customer needs change and evolve over time.
What we do, and why:
Some of the key benefits of connecting with us via ANM are listed below:
• Helps us to connect customers earlier and deliver the Net Zero vision.
• Greater real time co-ordination in energy system operation.
• Potentially reduces cost and enables customers to connect.
• Supports us in engagement with our stakeholders on the value that flexible resources can provide at any one time.
All of these, and many more are how we are using flexibility to deliver upon our DSO objectives and how they sit at the core of our ambition towards a net zero world.
What is an ANM and how do they operate?
How to connect:
Overall, SSEN's ANM is a powerful tool for managing electricity networks that helps to balance supply and demand, optimises energy storage, and integrates renewable energy sources in a potentially more efficient and effective manner.
